IMDi's national user survey opens on 19 October 2026. Participants in introduksjonsprogrammet and Norwegian and social studies training can give feedback on their provision. The survey is available in 23 languages with text and audio.
What is new in this year's survey?
This year's version has fewer questions, simpler language and easier login. Integrerings- og mangfoldsdirektoratet, IMDi, Norway's integration directorate, explains this in its opening announcement.
The changes follow testing in 2025 and 2026. IMDi conducts the survey with the Directorate for Higher Education and Skills, HK-dir, on behalf of the Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion.
Municipalities aim to learn how participants experience their training. SamfunnPrep's guide to introduksjonsprogrammet helps distinguish the programme from other courses and measures.
How can you participate?
Access the survey through your municipality's QR code or response link. Ask your teacher or municipal contact how participation is organised where you study.
IMDi says a demo version will be available from 20 October. It can help you become familiar with the system before responding. The participant guidance is also available in several languages, with text and audio.
You can prepare as follows:
- Ask for the municipality's official link or QR code.
- Choose a language you understand well.
- Set aside quiet time to respond without interruption.
- Ask for technical help if you cannot access the survey.
Must you participate, and can your teacher see your answer?
Participation is voluntary and the survey is anonymous. This is stated in the 2026 questionnaire. Do not enter your name or other personal information.
The form says responding takes around 20–40 minutes. You may withdraw during the survey. If you close the form before finishing, you must start again.
This is a survey about your training provision. It is not a test documenting your Norwegian level. SamfunnPrep's Norwegian test overview explains that separate test.
Why does this matter now?
The opening gives participants a specific opportunity to describe their experiences this autumn. Answer from your own experience, even when it differs from other people's.
The survey provides a basis for quality improvement. It does not promise that the municipality will immediately change a course. If you have a question that needs resolving now, also raise it directly with your contact person.
The information in this report was checked on 18 October 2026. Follow your municipality's instructions about practical arrangements.
