Why we exist

Our mission

SamfunnPrep was created to help immigrants in Norway prepare for the Samfunnskunnskapsprøven — in a simple, accessible, and effective way. We know the exam can feel overwhelming, especially when Norwegian is not your first language.

We built the platform because good preparation should not depend on already understanding fluent Norwegian. That is why the question bank is in Norwegian and English, the explanations are clear, and the interface itself is translated into four languages — so you can focus on the content, not the language.

Based on the official curriculum

All questions and explanations are based on the official curriculum from samfunnskunnskap.no, published by the Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills (HK-dir). We track changes to the curriculum and update the bank accordingly.
