Question
Does an apprentice receive pay during the apprenticeship in a company?
Correct answerYes, the apprentice receives a wage that usually increases during the apprenticeship
Read the explanation
An apprentice has both an apprenticeship contract covering training and an employment agreement with the company. The apprentice is an employee and receives pay. Wages often rise during the apprenticeship, but amounts and conditions depend on the agreement and any applicable collective agreement. The training contract and the employment agreement therefore serve different purposes.
