HK-dir

HK-dir (Direktoratet for høyere utdanning og kompetanse — the Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills) is the government agency responsible for, among other things:

• The Samfunnskunnskapsprøven (Social Studies Test).
• The Norskprøven (Norwegian language test, A1–C1).
• The Statsborgerprøven (Citizenship Test — administered by HK-dir; decisions are made by UDI).

Registration and results for the tests are handled via prove.hkdir.no⁠.
