1. About the service
SamfunnPrep is an online learning platform that helps immigrants prepare for the Samfunnskunnskapsprøven in Norway. The service offers practice questions, exam simulations, and progress analysis. SamfunnPrep is not affiliated with HK-dir (the Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills) or any official test institution.
2. Registration and account
You must create an account to use the service. You are responsible for providing accurate information and keeping your login credentials confidential. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
3. Free trial
New users receive 3 days of free access upon registration. The trial includes up to 20 practice questions and 1 exam simulation. No payment information is required. The trial cannot be extended or restarted.
4. Subscription and payment
We offer 30 days of access for 149 NOK and an Exam Package with 90 days of access for 349 NOK. Both are one-time payments with no automatic renewal. Payments are processed via Stripe or Vipps. Prices include VAT where applicable.
5. Cancellation and refunds
Both plans expire automatically after the purchased period and do not need to be canceled. Existing subscriptions with automatic renewal can still be managed through the customer portal. The Exam Package is a one-time payment and cannot be refunded after purchase, unless required by Norwegian consumer law.
6. Intellectual property
All content on SamfunnPrep — including questions, explanations, design, and code — is protected by copyright. You receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the service. You may not copy, distribute, or resell the content. Permitted search indexing, citation and AI use of public pages are described in section 11.
7. Disclaimer
Questions are based on the official curriculum from samfunnskunnskap.no, but are not official test questions. SamfunnPrep does not guarantee that you will pass the test. We are not responsible for results on the official test.
8. User responsibilities
You agree not to share your account with others, use automated tools to extract content, attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, or use the service for illegal purposes. Permitted search indexing, citation and AI use of public pages are described in section 11.
9. Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time via account settings. Upon deletion, all your personal data, answers, and progress are permanently removed. This action cannot be undone.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Any disputes shall first be attempted resolved amicably. If this fails, the dispute shall be decided by Norwegian courts.
11. Public pages, AI use and question-bank protection
Original SamfunnPrep questions, explanations, articles, translations, software, design and database compilations are protected by copyright and database rights. As an exception to sections 6 and 8, pages accessible without login, including topic guides and limited public sample questions, may be crawled and indexed for search and AI answer retrieval. Public pages may be quoted, summarised and cited with attribution to SamfunnPrep and a link to the canonical page. Public pages may also be used for AI model training in accordance with our current robots.txt policy (search=yes, ai-input=yes, ai-train=yes). This permission excludes the logged-in question bank, exam simulations, paid product content and personal data. This also permits public Markdown and JSON representations, caching, RAG, embeddings, and collection and processing necessary for the permitted AI uses, without separate written permission. Resale, redistribution of the corpus, republication of full articles or building competing question datasets requires written permission. Access controls and restrictions must be respected. This permission applies only to content SamfunnPrep has the right to license.
12. Third-party sources and independence
SamfunnPrep is independent and is not affiliated with HK-dir, UDI, Cappelen Damm or any official Norwegian exam authority. Public facts may be cited from official sources. SamfunnPrep questions and explanations are independently written content. Third-party material remains subject to its rights holder’s terms.
13. Enforcement
We may suspend access, block automated traffic, revoke accounts, preserve relevant logs and pursue legal remedies for account sharing, payment or access-control bypass, unauthorised extraction of the question bank, redistribution, resale or other misuse of SamfunnPrep content or systems. Permitted public-page use under section 11 is not such misuse.
