The farm was established in the mid-eighteenth century. Its oldest storage shed dates from that early period, while the present main house was built in 1931. Riksantikvaren protected the farm in 2019, highlighting its significance for Kven cultural heritage and the history of the Reisa valley. The museum distinguishes the later dwelling from older farm structures.
What to look for1
The house is furnished to reflect its early years. Curved window sills and small collecting vessels diverted winter condensation, a practical detail of the building tradition. The sauna stands apart because of fire risk. In the cottage, an oven made from local stone and clay once baked bread for both the farm household and neighbours.

The farm is approximately eighteen kilometres up Reisadalen from Storslett, with a signed turn-off. Contact Nord-Troms Museum to check guided visits, access to the buildings and demonstrations. The oven may be used at special events, so confirm the programme before expecting bread-making.
